Byrd BY23GP Tern $35.00
The non-locking Tern folder’s blade is held in the open position during cutting by a notched-joint at the knife’s pivot. When closing the blade, the notch produces resistance functionally similar to a traditional slip-joint penknife. A deep finger choil jogs the index finger into position on the bottom of the blade directly under the thumb. Placing the index finger in the choil, the finger acts as a stop, inhibiting the blade from closing when cutting and allows the user to choke-up closer to the cutting edge with comfort and dexterity.

Spyderco C115CFP T-Mag $285.00
Innovational knifemaker Ralph Turnbull’s new Spyderco collaboration is the C115 T-Mag folder. It houses a powerful Rare Earth (Neodymium NdFeB) Magnet, mounted internally in the knife’s spine where the blade and handle join. The magnet performs the same function as a notch- or slip-joint, holding the blade open when used and closed when pocketed by way of magnetic pull. Gunmetal gray carbon fiber handle scales, and Titanium liners, have a pronounced finger choil that places the index finger behind the cutting edge further blocking the knife blade from closing when you’re cutting. The flat-ground blade is laser cut CPMS30V high-carbon steel that is well known in knife circles for exceptional long term edge retention and performance. The finger choil and the spot on the blade’s spine above the round hole have jimping (texturing) further keeping the hand engaged safely on the handle while cutting. The wire clip is ambidextrous, positioning the closed knife to carry in a pocket knife tip up. Made in Golden, Colorado U.S.A.

Please note, the "bronze" color that you see on the clip is intentional. The clips are actually heat treated (they are stronger and will perform better because of this). The heat treated wire clip is also more discreet in your pocket.

Discontinued by manufacturer, limited quantities available.

Spyderco C127GPOR Urban Slipit $150.00
Laws and guidelines for carrying pocketknives are changing in many parts of our world. Several countries applied restrictions and parameters on folding knives that have blades that lock open. Spyderco addresses this by developing a new series of non-locking folders they call SLIPITS. SLIPITs are traditional CLIPITS, but with non-locking blades. The blade is held open by a notched or slip-joint at the knife's pivot. Closing the blade, the notch produces resistance, functionally similar to traditional slip-joint penknives. Heightening control and safety, a deep finger choil positions the index finger behind the blade directly under the thumb. You can choke up nearer the cutting edge with comfort and dexterity and this positions the index finger in the choil for added safety against closing the blade while cutting.

Discontinued by manufacturer, limited quantities available.

Spyderco C131CFP Bob Terzuola Slipit $175.00
You see interesting knives and equally interesting people when walking the aisles of a knife show. Small by business standards and specialized in nature, the cutlery industry has names everyone knows. One is Bob Terzuola, we call him Bob T. Bob has made handmade knives since the 1970s, has collaborated with the top production companies and is acknowledged as the founder of tactical knifemaking. In our small industry he’s a rock star. His designs are clean, militaristic, finely polished and perceived as having a high-level of performance and physical appearance. His fourth collaboration with Spyderco is the Bob T SLIPIT. SLIPITS are a new benchmark in knives, non-locking one-hand open folders with pocket clips. Bob T’s SLIPIT has a CPM-S30V modified Wharncliffe blade that to close must overcome the resistance of a small ball bearing. Bob calls this a Ball Joint non-locking system; he’s developed and refined on many custom pieces for close to a decade. The Ball Joint also half-stops the blade when closing for safety. Behind the cutting edge he placed a finger choil/guard keeping the index finger away from the open blade and keeping the blade from closing on the hand when cutting. He also made the blade under three inches keeping it legal in most jurisdictions and countries (England and Germany to name a couple) for carry anywhere. Carbon fiber handle and backspacer make this carry friendly SLIPIT both hi-tech and luxurious. Left/right pocket clip is nested in its’ mounting and won’t pivot or loosen. A folded leather lanyard comes with it, tied off with a silver crimp.

Discontinued by manufacturer, limited quantities available.

Spyderco C133P Bug $20.00
Aerodynamically bumble bees shouldn't be able to fly. Too bad someone forgot to tell the bees that. This knife defies both nature and expectation that something this small performs such a grand maneuver. Like bumblebees, Spyderco Bugs and HoneyBees perform the unexpected. Spyderco's smallest folders, they pack a stinging cutting clout in micro-sized SLIPITs. Last year Spyderco started offering SLIPITS which are non-locking slip-joint knives. They have no locking mechanism holding the blade open, relying instead on resistant pressure at the pivot area when the blade is extended and being used. Bugs and HoneyBees are part of the SLIPIT group. Their handles offers a flat surface for a small amount of engraving or embellishment and can be customized for use as jewelry or a gift item. Positioned on the end of the handle is a lanyard hole large enough to thread with a chain and be worn around the neck or slipped onto a key chain.

Spyderco C154PBK Squeak $80.00
When the majority of Americans think of Italian manufactured goods it’s an ingrained, and an easy jump, to food, exotic cars and fashion. Knifemaking probably doesn’t come first to mind but there is an old and active knifemaking hub in the foothills of the Italian Alps called Maniago, internationally known for its long history of metalworking and knifemaking with numerous knife production companies calling it home. Produced in Maniago, the Squeak SLIPIT is a Spyderco non-locking one-hand open, clip carry folder called a SLIPIT. It’s designed for legally-restricted carry in locales where locking folders are prohibited. The blade is flat ground and made from Austrian Böhler-Uddeholm’s N690Co steel. N690C0 is high-carbon steel with added cobalt for structural uniformity resulting in enhanced edge retention and sharpening receptivity. Textured jimping is machined from the blade’s spine and choil for increased slip resistance. The Squeak’s blade is held in the open position when cutting by a notched-joint at the knife’s pivot. When closing the blade, the notch generates resistance functionally similar to traditional slip-joint penknife and performs the additional function of smoothing the motion of the blade opening. Increasing control and comfort Spyderco designers add a deep finger choil, naturally jogging the index finger into a position on the underside of the blade directly below the thumb. Positioning the index finger in this choil blocks the blade from accidental closing when cutting and provides a grip position that allows the user to choke-up closer to the cutting edge for greater dexterity. The handle is FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) and engineered for user comfort whether in the hand, with ergonomic handle texturing, or in the pocket with a reversible tip-up deep pocket wire clip.

Spyderco C163PBK Pingo $85.00
The Pingo was specifically designed to conform to the knife laws of Denmark, which prohibit both lock-blade folding knives and all forms of one-hand-opening knives. The heart of the Pingo is its distinctive sheepfoot blade, which is ground from Böhler-Uddeholm’s premium N690Co stainless steel. The blade is designed to meet Danish legal length limits while still providing a very functional and versatile cutting tool. Its Trademark Round Hole clearly identifies it as a Spyderco knife and provides a handy purchase for two-handed opening, but the hole is purposely small to prevent one-handed blade-opening methods. Similarly, its stout notched-joint mechanism is powered by a strong spring that helps hold the blade securely in the open and closed positions, supporting its safe use as a cutting tool while precluding one-handed opening. The Pingo’s handle is comprised of injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) scales and a sturdy stainless steel back spacer. The scales feature a molded checkered texturing that ensures a secure grip without being too abrasive. A reversible deep-pocket wire clip provides both left and right-side tip-up carry, keeping the knife accessible for immediate use while blending unobtrusively with virtually any color of clothing. Although designed to meet the unique needs of the Danish knife community, the Pingo’s versatile design and socially friendly demeanor make it a perfect choice for knife users everywhere. It not only transcends the limits of the traditional non-locking pocketknife, but also redefines Spyderco’s own definition of a SLIPIT because of its purposeful two-hand-opening design.

Spyderco C75P3 Kiwi SlipIt $45.00
Meet the latest member to join the Spyderco gentlemen’s folder collection. The Kiwi3 is an updated version of the not-so traditional gentlemen’s pocket knife originally offered by Spyderco as a lockback in 2002. An affable two-inch long blade bears the same bump just forward of the opening hole. Placed on an otherwise classically shaped Wharncliffe blade, the bump makes the Kiwi look animalistic, almost hunchbacked, but offers a clever slip-resistant site for thumb or index finger for precision or intricate cutting. Just like the UK Penknife, the blade is held open by a notched-joint at the knife’s pivot. When closing the blade the notch produces resistance functionally similar to traditional slip-joint penknives. Heightening control and comfort, the deep finger choil positions the index finger on the bottom of the blade directly under the thumb. This allows you to safely and effectively choke up near the cutting edge with comfort and dexterity. A central finger groove accommodates the middle finger; this combination places the hand into the proper position for comfortable cutting in a small package that you can discreetly drop into your pocket. The smooth, flat stainless steel handle offers a classy presentation and is ideal for engraving. The Kiwi3 comes in a decorative black box appropriate gift giving.
