Böker 140507 Straight Razor $290.00
Straight razor by Böker. The compact 4/8" blade has been a bestseller in the long history of high quality Böker straight razors. The steel (non-stainless) has outstanding edge retention and is traditionally ground by hand. The handle scales are made of water resistant synthetic material. An ideal tool even for daily professional use. Also features historical etching and authentic Böker stamp on the blade. Completely made by hand in the Böker Manufactory in Solingen, Germany. Delivered in historical packaging with a certificate of authenticity.

Since the beginning of the Böker manufacturing plant in 1869, high quality straight razors were produced in Solingen, Germany. At that time, they were already focused on the usage of nothing less than the best in materials, and it was of the utmost importance to maintain the highest production standards available. With that background, the success came quickly, and this gave Böker straight razors an impeccable international reputation. After World War II, the manufacturing of straight razors gradually came to a stop. Today, an original Böker catalog from 1906 is the oldest document in our archives about the razor blade product line of that time. More than 100 years later, a new lineup is being manufactured in Solingen, reviving the old tradition. Through 170 individual production steps, the new and exclusive Böker straight razors are created. A guarantor for the highest quality is the successful "finger nail test". Only the edge of a perfectly ground blade can be visibly bent on your thumbnail and returns immediately to its original shape when released. Cheap blades are too thick to do this, and for that reason they are referred to as "axes" by the experts.

For many years, canvas Micarta has been a well established and approved material for handles of sporting knives and outdoor knives. Generally, Micarta is a compound material, consisting of fabric and epoxy. To produce Micarta, many layers of the medium (canvas) are immersed in epoxy. When hardened, it can be ground in the appropriate shape, and the typical structure of the basic material comes out in a beautiful way. The handle scales of the new straight razor model Tree Brand are made of the very popular green canvas Micarta. Canvas Micarta does not only have an appealing look, it also offers a lot of advantages in use. This material is extremely rugged and provides a very secure and comfortable grip, even with wet hands. The compact 4/8" blade is made of the best Solingen razor steel (high edge retention, non-stainless) and provides perfect handling, even for professional use, with the traditional hollow grind. Böker 140600DAM Straight Razor $1,300.00
With this fascinating straight razor a new chapter in the more than a century old tradition of high end Böker straight razors begins. For the first time, we use powder metallurgical stainless Damascus for the blade of a straight razor. In a very complex and demanding process, 180 layers of Damascus steel are created by sintering the different materials to achieve the perfect material for the fine grind of the blade. The traditional hollow grind brings out the beautiful texture of the Damascus pattern perfectly. This blade, made with the latest technology available, harmonizes with the original handle scales from the 1930's, a special synthetic material with an ivory-like structure, which is very flexible and water resistant. It shows a historic Böker logo artfully inlayed in the scale, a detail which is rarely used on modern knives. This new Böker Damascus straight razor is handmade in 150 steps in the Böker factory in Solingen, Germany, and is strictly limited to 500 pieces worldwide. Delivered in a wooden presentation box with a certificate of authenticity. Blade: 5/8".
