Cellini
The CEM company began more than half a century ago in Maniago, the Italian city of knives. The artisan craftmanship is still carried out in the family by skilled hands forged from decades of experience in the field, which allow to produce high quality cutlery.
CEM’s story began with Espero Cellini, born in 1906, who began his apprenticeship with the world of the knife at the age of 14, when he was hired as a boy and learned the "trade" of cutler. With the experience and knowledge gained over the years as a workshop manager at another company, Cellini founded the Coltellerie CEM company, acronym of his initials and of the town of Maniago, where the factory is located in 1946. Equipped with an exceptional manual ability, a fervent imagination and with the collaboration of valid and passionate employees, he always creates new and original cutlery items: pocket sharpeners, folding knives for salami, boat knives, fishing knives, corkscrews .... all products exported and appreciated in many parts of the world for their superb workmanship and variety of models. Upon his passing in 1976, CEM was left in the capable hands of his children, Maria and Corrado who, with the same passion and commitment, continue their business taking care of both the commercial and production parts, with the creation of more and more innovative models, particularly in the sector of quality corkscrews, of exclusive production, original in shapes and materials. The third generation is already present in the company with Maria's son, Sandro.
