White River Knife & Tool are a small family company with a passion for making high quality knives and tools in the U.S.A. Michigan’s White River in the Manistee National Forest which flows through the family property and is the inspiration for the company name.
Founded by John Cammenga, his wife, Susan with their sons Matt and John Jr. forming an integral part of this family-owned business. Custom quality is their watchword which is why they precision grind, hand finish, and leather hone every razor sharp knife they make. Every single component – from their steels to the thread in their American made leather sheaths is sourced and produced in the U.S.A.
White River Knife & Tool works in collaboration with master bladesmith Jerry Fisk, retired Army Ranger Justin Gingrich, industrial designer Jason Tietz, and world champion sporting clays shooter, Tom Mack, developing a broad range of designs and uses for hunters, kayakers, backpackers, fishing enthusiasts and any outdoors man or woman who needs an excellent cutting implement.
They are proud award winners of Field & Stream Magazine’s "Best New Knives of 2017" for their Firecraft series and Field & Stream Magazine’s “Best of the Best 2015” for their Scout Knife.
