Designed and manufactured to stand up to heavy-duty use, Zero Tolerance Knives are built of premium materials. These knives have earned a reputation among their devoted fans as being "built like a tank" or a "real beast" or even being—proudly—"overbuilt".
Zero Tolerance is a brand of Kai USA Ltd. The ZT brand first made its appearance in 2006 when they saw place in the market for a made-in-the-USA line of hard-use knives that would meet the needs of professionals, such as the military, law enforcement, and other first responders, as well as firefighters and emergency medical personnel.
The initial products were tactical knives, but since that time, the line has expanded to include a variety of general-use and premium knives. From larger and heavier outdoor knives to slimmer and lighter every day carrying, ZT knives always provide knife owners with top-of-the-line quality.
In ZT’s world, they believe that design has a specific purpose. Always. The purpose is function. Always. So they pay attention to the ergonomics. Their designers bring real-world experience to their designs. Because they believe a knife shouldn’t just be pocket jewelry. A knife is a tool. It’s meant to be used. And if it happens to look particularly incredible while doing it, that’s no accident either. Zero Tolerance believes the details of a knife deserve as much attention as its overall concept. So they make sure they leave no opportunity for precision pass by. When you hold a knife with excellent fit and finish, you know it. And if you look at the brand, very often, it’s going to be a ZT.
All ZTs are built in Tualatin, Oregon USA manufacturing facility by their most skilled workers. Premium materials define ZT. They don’t do cheap, and you shouldn’t either. For the all-important blade, Zero Tolerance turns to high-performance steels such as S30V, S35VN, or CTS-204P blade steel and G10, titanium, and carbon-fiber for handle frames and scales. With top-shelf materials like these, an operation that is conspicuously smooth, combined with ZT’s precision fit and finish, they are second to none. Our customers have described ZTs as a “real beast” and—proudly—"overbuilt."
