Old Timers have been making wooden knives for generations. Gene Jameson says that he has seen some very well-crafted wooden pocket knives. However, until 2008, the wooden knife kit did not exist. That is when he made the first one for my son, JJ. Recognizing the appeal of, not only having a wooden pocket knife, but also being able to craft it. That’s when Jameson Woodworks brought the kit to market and approached a few store owners. Business continued to grow and there are currently six pocket knife styles to choose from. The old saying goes, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”. Others have recognized the appeal of JJ’s Knife Kit and wanted to make their own imitations.
