1996/97 - Federal Duck Stamp - Walnut Display Box
America’s Federal Duck Stamp Commemorative Knife 1996/97―These proud and migratory birds represent America at its best.
To help preserve these winged wonders, Congress, in 1934, authorized the issuance of an Annual Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamp to purchase additional habitat areas. This has become popularly known to collectors as the Duck Stamp. Issued once each year since, the Duck Stamp is America’s longest running and among its most treasured stamps series.
This Duck Stamp Commemorative knife is no exception. This two-bladed muskrat pattern features a clip blade and a handy bird venting hook. Each of these serialized knives have handles crafted from Goncalo Alvez hardwood. The blades are Schrade+Steel with a special commemorative etch. An antiqued brass shield depicting a duck in flight tops of this edition. The knife is packaged in a two-piece custom laser engraved walnut presentation box. The custom fitted tray holds the knife and an antiqued coined brass replica of the 1996/97 original Duck Stamp.
