These Kikuichi Nickel Sweden Warikomi Damascus knives are made with a hard AUS-10 (Aichi) stainless core which provides excellent edge retention. The damascus exterior of the blade is hand forged from high nickel content stainless steels (22 layers per side: 11 layers of nickel with 6 layers of SUS420 and 5 layers of J1 stainless steel) to provide stability, toughness and beauty to the blade. Each blade is hand forged and ground making them truly unique and will provide years of cutting pleasure. The handles are crafted of exotic rosewood with ebony ferrules shaped in the traditional octagonal cross-section that create an positive grip and balance.
