8” Chinese Chef’s Knife – Light Pattern
Since ancient times, famous sword smiths have handed down within their families the secrets for forging high quality steel. In the spirit of this tradition, Masahiro specializes in hand forged cutlery, widely sought after by professional chefs. These Chinese knives are a modern version of the ancient style. The blades are formed by forge welding a high carbon steel layer between two layers of stainless steel. This technique produces a blade with a tough, durable edge which will not tarnish or rust. A Rosewood handle is attached to the tang with brass rivets.
Light Pattern (1/16˝ blade thickness) for slicing and dicing of soft foods. Blade Size: 8¼” x 4⅛”. Overall Length: 12¾”.
Please do NOT use a Chinese Chef’s Knife (Vegetable Cleaver) on joints, bones, or meat. A Meat Cleaver is made for that.
