Casson’s crab knife is designed differently from other crab knives on the market in that most crab knives are designed for only picking the meat out of the crab, and many have a sharp edge and are very pointy. The Casson’s crab knife is designed for not only picking the meat out of the crab but also for eating the meat as you are picking the crab. We like to call it ” THE CRAB EATING KNIFE”. Because the point of the Casson’s knife is not a real sharp point, but is rounded enough to get into all areas of the crabs body and claws, yet you can go right to your mouth with the crab meat without cutting or sticking yourself. The handle of the Casson’s knife is also designed to be used as a mallet it being heavy enough to crack a claw shell. It may feel a little new and unusual at first, but after eating a dozen or two crabs you will wonder how you got along without it. Comfortable and easy to use with enough handle weight for cracking.
