This scissors is ideal for tasks that require a small, but powerful cutting tool. The blades are made of a high-carbon stainless steel that ensures a sharp cut, all-the-way to the tip. It also features large handles made of “Elastomer” soft plastic, which are designed for better leverage and ease of handling while cutting.

Additionally, as being the smallest of the 7000 series scissors, the 7100 is better suited for detailed tasks such as thread snipping, embroidery projects, Hardanger embroidery, beadwork, rug-hooking, appliqué projects, and fly tying to name a few.

The 7000 Series is a new generation of tailoring shears. Designed for professional use, these heavy duty scissors cut all types of upholstery fabric, leather, and multi-layers of cotton, denim or fleece. Made of AUS8A high-carbon stainless steel and hardened up to 58+/-1 HRC, these shears are elegantly matte finished and equipped with a patented duplex interlock fastener that prevents the screw from becoming loose. The addition of carbon allows for a steeper cutting angle, giving the scissor a sharper, finer edge. The carbon also allows the finer edge to be more durable, which in-turn, provides for an extra-long edge life and superior cutting efficiency of these professional scissors. Ergonomically soft handle grips and professionally honed blades offer fatigue free cutting on all types of fabrics. Kai scissors and shears cut to the tip every time and may be sharpened many times.
