TONY BOSE –
W.R.Case & Sons Cutlery Company has collaborated with legendary custom knife maker Tony Bose to produce Case Custom Built factory knives as close as possible to those he makes in his own shop. Inspired by patterns from the 19th and early 20th centuries, each masterpiece incorporates a host of true custom features like stainless steel bolsters and liners that are buffed to seamless finish, with the liners milled for improved blade fall. The Norfolk is the eleventh knife in the celebrated series. Tony’s design was inspired by the original Norfolk knife, built by Joseph Rogers & Sons of Sheffield, England for The Great Exhibition of 1851. That knife was some 2 1/2 feet long, with 75 blades and implements. The Wharncliffe and Short Clip are made from 154-CM, the high performance stainless alloy preferred by Bose and discerning knife enthusiasts. Other Bose touches include dramatic blade swedging, stainless liners milled for improved blade fall, and a traditional Badge shield pinned to the scale. The Norfolk also features “sunken joints” which make the tangs of each blade nearly disappear into the handle when closed.
