FB43GP - WaterWay - LC200N
Lance Clinton, known as “Surfingringo” on the Spyderco forums, is a passionate fisherman, water sportsman, and knife enthusiast living the dream in Costa Rica. Based on his experience, fishing daily with knives from a kayak, he designed the WaterWay—a highly capable fixed-blade knife and a notable addition to Spyderco’s burgeoning Salt Series line. It is crafted from rustproof LC200N steel, a high nitrogen, alloyed tool steel that is produced using PESR technology, Pressurized Electroslag Remelting. The process increases the alloy’s cleanliness and refines its micro-structure. LC200N, also known as Cronidur 30, has been used by NASA in the past for ball bearings. The WaterWay’s blade has a full-flat grind, a distal taper, and an integral lower guard. Surrounding the full-tang blade are contoured, black G-10 scales, held in place with non-visible internal pins. A milled CNC-machined texture pattern on both scales provides a solid grip both in and out of water. Ideal for cleaning fish and a myriad of water-born chores, the WaterWay comes with a custom-molded foldover-style Boltaron sheath with a multi-positional G-Clip mount.
