Reinhold Rhino - PlainEdge
Michael Reinhold is a part-time custom knifemaker with a fulltime commitment to making functional, high-quality, innovative knives. A social worker by trade, one of his deepest passions is his lifelong fascination with knives which started after receiving his first knife from his grandfather. The Spyderco Reinhold Rhino offers impressive strength and cutting performance in a compact package. Reinhold wanted to create a folder to function as a light-duty skinning and field-dressing knife, while still being versatile enough to tackle a broad range of other everyday cutting chores. Most importantly, he wanted it to reflect Spyderco’s proven “little-big-knife” philosophy, packing as much cutting performance into its compact size as possible. Its full-flat-ground trailing point blade is PlainEdge and crafted from premium CTS XHP stainless steel with a sweeping profile that packs plenty of edge into its length. It is paired with an ergonomic handle featuring textured carbon fiber and G-10 laminate scales, nested stainless steel liners, and Spyderco’s high-strength Compression Lock mechanism. A relieved cutout in the obverse scale allows easy access to the blade’s Trademark Round Hole for right-handed operation, while a reversible stainless steel pocket clip provides convenient left or right-side tip-up carry. A compact, do- everything folder, the Reinhold Rhino offers cutting power far beyond its size.
