The most distinctive feature of this exclusive version of the Spyderco Lil’Native is its blade, which is crafted from CPM 10V, the very first member of Crucible’s family of high-vanadium tool steels to be made by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy process. Often used as a replacement for carbide in demanding tooling applications, CPM 10V is also a favorite material of performance-oriented custom knifemakers. To fully harness the performance potential of this material, the PlainEdge blade of this knife is full-flat ground for optimal edge geometry and point utility. Its fully accessible Trademark Round Hole provides swift, ambidextrous one-handed opening and a durable black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating eliminates the blade’s reflective properties and helps protect it from corrosion.

Not to be outdone, this knife’s handle proudly showcases Coyote Brown G-10 scales, black-coated screws, and a black-coated deep-pocket wire pocket clip that supports left or right-side tip-up carry. The scales have a peel-ply texture to help ensure a secure grip and are precision machined to accept the nested, black coated stainless steel liners that form the foundation of the knife’s high-strength Compression Lock mechanism.
