This modern Opinel is particularly suitable for sporting activities from the sea to the mountains—hiking, paragliding, trekking, bush crafting, potholing, sailing, etc. The blade has added thickness for extra strength with added serrations to cut effortlessly through natural and synthetic ropes. In addition, a shackle key has been cut into the blade for 4 to 10 mm shackles. The handle is water-resistant and withstands extreme temperatures (-40°F to +175°F) and is equipped with a pealess whistle that is built into the handle (110 decibels).
