Fjellkniven Green – Green Curly Birch

This is a Helle Special version of the Fjellkniven with a stabilized, green curly birch handle. The stabilization process strengthens the wood so that it does not absorb moisture. The color accentuates the natural patterning in the wood.

This version comes with a 4” Sandvik 12C27 steel blade – same design and feel as always, only now with a non-laminated blade. The stainless steel blade is shaped for a wide range of everyday chores. The comfortable grip is shaped to keep your hands off the blade. Fjellkniven comes with the traditional pouch style black leather sheath that does not require a keeper strap. The name Fjellkniven translates from Norwegian to Mountain knife. Overall length: 8¼”.

The Helle Specials are small batches (5-30 knives) of existing Helle models in new and exclusive handle materials and steels. Helle makes one such small batch a quarter, varying both which models they do and what materials are used.
