EVOWOOD SERIES –
EvoWood is the latest in the growing Evolution series created in 2005, more than 100 years after the original Swiss Army Knife design. Victorinox works to exacting standards of sustainability and these products, which are “grown” in Switzerland, demonstrate the innovative ways in which manufacturers can approach production to help conservation. The handles for each of these pocketknives are constructed from sustainable top quality walnut using what would otherwise be waste material from other production processes. The natural walnut, which is durable for light outdoor use, is colored in a rich dark stain to create individual shades and grain patterns in each knife, making every product a one-off.
The scales of the EvoWood models are made of wood, a living material which sometimes needs to be treated to maintain its natural feel and look. The best way to clean them is by using wax or natural oil. Apply the wax or oil very lightly to the surface. Regular maintenance will enhance the natural characteristics of the wood for years to come.
Where Sharp Meets Sustainable.
Victorinox’s collection of wooden knives is a testament to their focus on sustainability. They’ve taken some of their most iconic Victorinox knives and reinvented them with solid eco-credentials. Not only are they crafted from 100% naturally renewable walnut wood sourced from European forests, but they also carry a low carbon footprint. Plus, walnut looks aesthetically sharp and is exceptionally durable.
