The Hogue Knives A01-MicroSwitch button lock automatic “is an amazing piece of precision manufacturing” said Hogue lead knife engineer Scott Bruhns. “Our customers have been demanding a streamlined sub 3.0 inch Allen Elishewitz designed automatic knife and we have seriously knocked this one out of the park. This knife is so full of features it honestly must be held to fully appreciate the cohesive design and execution by Allen and the Hogue team.” Designed specifically as an everyday carry pocketknife, the MicroSwitch is the first automatic knife in the Hogue line with a blade measuring under three inches. Both the 2.75” and the 1.95” models are available in Drop Point or Wharncliffe blade profiles and come with either a stone wash tumbled or a black Cerakote finish. Made from .120” thick CPM154 steel, the blade offers superior corrosion resistance while providing excellent edge retention. It is cryogenically heat treated to 57-59 RC then hand sharpened and honed. The key to the Hogue MicroSwitch’s reliability and performance is its proprietary music wire spring, developed specifically for Hogue Knives by famed spring maker Wolff Gunsprings. Fast blade deployment, a rock-solid lockup, precision engineering and extreme reliability under all conditions are hallmarks of the Hogue auto knife. The Type III hard coat anodize 6061-T6 aluminum frame is sculpted for an ergonomic grasp and comfortable one-handed deployment. The frame is patterned with an escalating indent texture for additional grip traction and includes a pointed impact pommel. The 1.95” model features an in-frame bottle opener. The MicroSwitch is available in matte finished black, grey, flat dark earth or aquamarine. The frame includes a reversible clip and filler plate for ambidextrous tip up carry.
