Delica4 – Olive Drab FRN / TiCN / CRU-WEAR

The CC11FPCWODK is a distinctive version of Spyderco’s best-selling Delica 4 features a unique combination of Crucible’s CPM Cru-Wear with a Titanium Carbonitride coating, and Olive Drab Green FRN handle scales.

This limited production version of the Delica 4 supercharges its advanced design with a full-flat-ground blade crafted from Crucible’s CPM Cru-Wear. CPM Cru-Wear steel is an air-hardened powdered metallurgy tool steel. Crucible’s original smelted-produced Cru-Wear was created as an upgrade to A2 and D2 tool steels that both have earned longevity and respect in the cutlery business for their wear resistance and tough cutting performance. Through powdered steel technology, the steel is made easier to machine with improved resistance to chipping over the original ingot Cru-Wear. The powdered variety also attains a higher hardness factor through greater percentages of tungsten and molybdenum that result in a secondary hardening response.

The Delica’s FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) handles are Olive Drab Green and molded onto the handle’s surface is Bi-Directional Texturing for slip-free tactile traction. Inside the handle are dual skeletonized stainless steel liners which strengthen the knife without additional weight and double as an anchor for external and internal components to attach through generating more sturdiness and rigidity. Added to the blade’s spine is slip resistant jimping. Phosphor bronze washers smooth out the open/close action and the clip is upgraded to a four-way tip-up, tip-down, left-or right-handed clip.
