It is tough to argue with the success of the world’s most recognizable, time-tested fixed-blade knife so Ka-Bar did what any smart company would do, they did not change the original design, they expanded upon it. The high-carbon, non-reflective black blade is epoxy powder-coated, and tests prove the finish is more durable than ever. A more compact version of the traditional KA-BAR marked “USMC”, the classic oval shape of the original KA-BAR remains with its traditional leather handle and steel guard and pommel.
