Rexford, M390 / Titanium
Make smart practical designs. Take advantage of advanced processes. Use premium materials. These are just a few of the ideas about knifemaking that Zero Tolerance and Todd Rexford have in common and that make us a great team. Case in point—the new, limited edition 0801CF. Based on Todd’s Singularity, the 0801CF adds 6K twill weave carbon fiber inserts and a wicked new dark bronze PVD-coating to the already handsome 0801. This limited edition version features a blade of M390 powdered steel, which offers good corrosion resistance and optimum wear resistance. The bronzed handles are titanium and feature a secure frame lock with hardened stainless steel insert. The knife opens with a flipper and the KVT ball bearing system. For a touch of ZT class, the front handle has a cutout that lets you see the inside of the back handle where they’ve signed their work. Todd Rexford’s fascination with knives began as a boy. As he grew up, he got involved with activities that tested his mechanical skills, from outdoor sports to working on automobiles in his father’s garage. Yet eventually, his old obsession with edged tools took hold and he began teaching himself to make knives. Today, Todd designs knives that are comfortable to hold and functional to use. He’s always open to trying new procedures and new high-quality materials, which are just a few of the many things we like about working with this talented designer.
