Razor Strop – Tan Strop with Tan Handles & Trim

We are very proud to introduce our own line of leather straight razor strops. These beautiful hand crafted strops have been made to our strict specifications by highly skilled local craftsman. Each piece of leather has been selected from premium hides to ensure the best stropping experience available. In addition, each strop has a specially selected second strop made of a white cotton webbing exceeding that of vintage strops. These strops are superb and the quality is unrivaled. All strops are 3″ wide making stropping easier than standard 2″ wide strops. This model features stitched and hand-burnished leather handles for a comfortable handhold. All hardware is nickel plated steel.

Stropping is essential and necessary to the maintenance of a shave-ready straight razor’s optimal edge. Before every shave, a straight razor should be stropped on both the canvas side (which cleans the edge from any residual cream, soap, hair, skin, and oxidation) and the leather side (which straightens and stretches the razor’s microscopic teeth to produce the sharpest edge). Proper stropping will ensure a superior shave and maximize the razor’s edge retention, sharpness and life.
