Since its release, the Spyderco Paramilitary 2 has become a favorite from field to forum, and for good reason. It has got the ergonomics, materials, build quality, and strength that makes it a dependable companion for anyone, and the Compression Lock and thumb hole opener make it smooth and easy to operate one handed. The PM 2 has been released in several colors and blade steels, but so far, it has only been made with a leaf-shaped blade and a full flat grind.

Instead of just chopping the tip off and calling it good, Spyderco designed the perfect tanto for the PM2. The blade starts with a stout blade stock that gets a hollow grind on the primary edge, and a then off to a flat grinder for the secondary edge and the swedge. The result is a blade that can both take a beating and perform delicate work.

While the blade is new, the handle is identical to the original PM2.
